Stop-by-stop Scenic SpotsLong Quan Mountaion Forest ParkDragon Spring Mountain Park, stretching 0.33 km2, skirts northeastern of the county town, northwest of Sanbai Mountain, with luxuriant forests on tranquil hills, rippling blue lakes at mountain foot, making a secluded haven for spring excursion and mountain climbing for historic interest. Back in 1943, while spending three months in the summer resort here, Mr. Chiang Chingkuo(eldest son of Chiang Kaishek) wrote a calligraphy for the plaque of "Harmony Summer Resort" in the Taoist Temple of Longquan Mountain. Here must-see scenic spots include Longquan Academy(for classical learning), Longquan Lake, 9 Curves Bridge, Mid-Lake Pavilion, swimming pool, Longquan Lake Hotel, Longevity Palace and more.Dong Feng Lake Tourist Service CenterSitting in Donghe village, Fengshan Township, the Service Center project was launched in late July 2017, with an investment of roughly ¥49 million yuan, and planned land use of 250 mu, including tourist service center, cultural and commercial street, parking square, car camp and a tunnel connected with Dongfeng Lake wharf. The buildings of the service center, occupying about 2,226 m2, comprises of three floors in total, with the 1st mainly for tourists service area, 2nd for exhibition hall, and 3rd for administrative area.The cultural and commercial street, about 2,216 m2, contains five one-floor buildings. The parking square, covering approximately 30,000 m2, consists of three parking lots for bus, car and electromobile, with parking spaces of 20, 446 and 36 separately. Moreover, the car camp is 15,000 m2, and the tunnel is 120 m long.Starting from the east estuary and sitting by Dongfeng Lake, the Center project acts as the east gate for the eastern and northern Anyuan access to Sanbai Mountain Scenic Area, also a convenient entrance from the northern province, delivering reception services and tourism experience package for visitors.As of now, the project is ongoing busy with earthwork leveling, with principal construction operations well scheduled.Dong Feng Lake WharfSet in Donghe village, Fengshan Township with an investment of roughly ¥9 million, the Wharf project is 20 mu or so as planned, with buildings of about 1,700 m2, started in late May 2017. The construction mainly includes Aobei Wharf (upper) and Three Immortals Wharf (lower), with the former covering 6,500 m2, including 727 m2 buildings, and the latter covering 6,100 m2, including 922 m2 buildings. The duo will contain ship-waiting hall, ticket office, viewing square, wharf square, 26 electric-power parking spaces and floating wharves for ship-boarding.The project is a waterway shortcut to Sanbai Mountain scenic spot from the appealing Dongfeng Lake, also a vital county facility to boost ecological environment protection and developmental exploitation, promising to further highlight tourism status of the county.For the moment, the project has nearly completed earthwork leveling, due to go into main construction operations.Hu Gang Hot Spring (Hot Spring River Vale)The Hugang Hot Spring, covering 2 km2, is secluded in the southern corner of Sanbai Mountain national scenic spot, adjacent to the provincial highway Xunwu-Xinfeng Line. Its first ranking in the province benefits from daily flow of 2,150 tons, and oozing water as high as 79℃, rich in chemical components and trace elements like selenium, sulfur, fluorine, iron and more. Here, reception facilities have been put in place, like hotel and swimming pool, currently at initial capacity of leisure and health care for holidaymakers.Wu Wei Temple Pagoda and Wu Wei Tower (Song Dynasty)Wuwei Temple Pagoda, standing in the Wuwei Park, northwest of Anyuan County, was set up by the seven distinguished clans and supervised by the county native, Du Jian, in the 4th year of Shaosheng Emperor’s reign in Song Dynasty(1097). It is so called Wuwei Temple Pagoda due to the former "Wuwei Temple" (built in the 4th year of Changqing Emperor’s reign in Tang Dynasty, later destroyed). The Buddhist pagoda is of pavilion-style structure, with walk-through hollow walls and winding corridors, complete with laid bricks, reinforced by a mixture of yellow clay, rice husk and a little straw fiber. The pagoda is 61.3 m high (Thatsa of 8 m). Its tapered body has six sides and nine stages in appearance. Each stage is furnished with cornice, flat seat, balustrade, spaced 3 doors and 3 niches, flower arms hung with bird-dispelling bronze bells, and Thatsa composed of cast iron appearance ring, Thatsa chain and treasured gourd. There are 17 stories inside the tower, divided into open and hidden stories. The hidden is the passage, with each side of the inner wall mounted with one door and one niche. The ground story is a large winding corridor, which leads to the top of the pagoda through a circling railing. All-round maintenance was finished in 1984. After entering the 1st batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in 1957, Wuwei Temple Pagoda was accredited as national key protected cultural relic in the 6th batch approved by the State Council in May 2006.Wu Wei Pagoda, national key cultural relic, is located in the west of Anyuan County, Jiangxi Province. The 900 year-old was set up in 1097, the 4th year of Shaosheng Emperor’s reign in Song Dynasty, later, got repaired in 1982. This now pagoda is 55 m tall, including Thatsa of 6.5 m, holding six sides and nine stages. There are 17 open and hidden stories inside, with upward steps leading visitors through to the top story of the tower.
